To start this with total honesty this was kind of a fail. While it looked and tasted great it was not cooked completely in the middle. It wasn’t the recipe, it was our oven, but fear not, I have another amazing bread recipe coming soon and I am so obsessed.
So basically this whole thing started a few weeks ago. I was having a really serious craving for some banana bread so, of course, I jumped on Pinterest and found a killer recipe.
It was super fast and easy to make and I was so so so excited to eat it all up!!
Everything was looking great, like mouth watering ready to get this in the oven so I can eat it, great.
It came out looking beautiful and golden brown, and as you can see I was ecstatic.
You can imagine my disappointment when I cut it open and realized our horrible oven hadn’t cooked it all the way. *tear* *I actually cried* *It had been a long night*
1 cup and 14 tablespoons or two cups minus 2 tablespoons of Flour
1 cup of Sugar
1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
½ teaspoon of Salt
½ cup of Oil
3 very ripe Bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
½ cup of Walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 and spray a bread pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mix together dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
Add oil and eggs, one at a time. Beat after each egg.
Add mashed bananas and vanilla, beat well.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into pan.
Bake at 350 degrees – regular loaf 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
