I am very excited about this post because not only am I doing a collab. with the amazing Hannah from Practically Imperfect I am introducing a new series (I use that term very loosely) on my blog!
Hannah and I initially connected over Twitter and through Smart Girls Group. Once we started talking we discovered we both loved baking and knew we wanted to do a collaboration involving baking for the holidays. I had wanted to started doing baking and cooking posts on my blog for quite some time now and I thought this would be the perfect way to start that off!
I have a deep, strong love for pumpkin aka a pumpkin lover! So I knew I wanted to bake something that involved pumpkin. Hannah decided she was going to do a chocolate dessert so definitely head over there if you are craving some chocolate!
I made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip “Brownies”! They are really good and nice and dense, but not heavy.
Preheat oven to 350 and spray PAM in an 11×7 pan.
In a large bowl combine 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, 1 egg, 2 egg whites, and 1tbsp of canola oil. Put to the side.
In a different medium bowl combine 1 cup of flour, 1tsp of baking powder,1 tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and allspice, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and salt, and 2/3 cups of packed brown sugar. Add to wet ingredients.
Then add in the chocolate chips!
Pour into pan and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
The hardest part is waiting!
I LOVE this dessert! The pumpkin and chocolate chips together are so tasty!
What is your favorite holiday dessert?
